Archery and Mounted Archery Clinics
We are excited to welcome Jennifer Dawson of Ground Zero Archery to Holland Western, for a day of introductory clinics to archery and archery on horseback.
Equipment is provided!
The day will be broken into two sections:
Section 101: HBA Ground Clinic (9am - 12pm)
Coach Dawson will cover mounted archery basics such as bows, arrows, quivers, drawing/loading styles, release styles, followed by warm-up exercises and ground practice. This section does not involve your horse. It is a requirement before moving onto the Mounted Archery section, however, participants can also register for the ground clinic only. Up to 15 participants allowed.
Section 102: Beginner HBA Mounted Clinic (1pm - 4pm)
This is an intro to mounted archery, in which participants will use their own horses. At the beginning of this section, students will learn and apply the basics of mounted archery at a walk. Once ready to progress to a canter, Coach Dawson will teach you the basics of the importance of form, focus, and fallow through. Up to 8 can register for this clinic. You must have taken Section 101 in order to register for this part of the clinic. Up to 8 participants allowed.
Lunch will be provided for all morning and afternoon clinic participants! The cost is $65 for the Ground Clinic, and $185 for the Mounted Clinic. Anyone who participants in both, however, will be refunded $25, for a full-day total cost of $225
